Went out to eat steamboat over at Marina Bay with Ven, Xin and the rest. Hmm. Didn't eat much, but watched Ven downed three bowls of rice. Man, can she eat. Woo. Yah, then after that dinner, headed over for some arcade, and jammed a little of that percussion freak thing. Lol. A little of the air hockey thing, and then daytona. Yah, usual thing lar.
Then let's do some calculations. Dinner's about 15 bucks, arcade, $4? I would have spent about $20, but noo... Ven just had to pay for all 5 of us. That's a hundred buck down the drain. Say 'Wow'. Sometimes she just do that, and not really for a special occasion. I think sometimes I'm too stunned, especially after you see what she gave me for birthday present. I know it's a little late, but I can absolutely understand why it's so belated.
A FRAMED JIGSAW PUZZLE OF A PICTURE OF SQUALL AND RINOA. A freaking 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
I was so shocked. Flabbergasted. Stunned. Dumbfounded. Oh my god. It's hanging proudly on the wall above my bed. And I tell you, you gotta know it ain't cheap. Especially when it comes from one person. She did the puzzle, framed it up, gave it to me. Where else can you find a friend like her?
I'm not so astounded by her generosity with her money. After all, she is one that can carry up to a thousand in cash in her wallet with no qualms. But sometimes she can just do things that just make you go speechless. That 1000-piece jigsaw meant a lot to me, and she very well knew that. She could have given me a box of the unsolved jigsaw piece, but she went ahead to piece it all for me, plus a frame for it. I don't know what to say now, for the first time. There's no doubt she's given me the best 18th birthday present I've ever received. Oh my god. Can't say much.
Touched? Duh. Go ahead and see if you were me, would you not be overwhelmed as well.
